When Jane Curry was born in 1795 in Pendleton, Virginia, her father, James Curry, was 33, and her mother, Mary Erwin, was 35.
She married John Bodkin on June 13, 1811, in her hometown. They had two daughters, Mary Ann and Eliza during their marriage.
They moved westward and in Ohio John abandoned his wife and children. They were able to return to Doe Hill, Highland, Virginia, with the assistance of an uncle Curry.
She died after 1860.
